Music is the freeform expression of emotion and intention, while sound systems convey intention within a structured, interactive format. Music is what I like to call “art through time,” whereas sound systems apply sound cues to communicate clear messages.

Every medium requires a different palette of sounds, intention, direction, and purpose. Understanding the format, the question, and the solution leads me to the right tools. For example, cinematic sound may require a more fluid, analog-based sound profile, while interactive system sounds may require a palette designed to convey clear, distinct messages. Every situation and form factor requires intentional thought behind the sounds I choose and the purpose they are meant to serve.
